JOE BUDA (OAM) Chairman
Joseph Anthony Buda (OAM) Solicitor, Cabramatta New South Wales, 9727-5511. Has been a member of the board since 1995, he is president of the childcare centre and Chairman of the Mamma Lena & Dino Gustin Foundation. He has seen the childcare centre develop from a negative growth to a positive growth and is an instigator of the foundation and its objectives and ideals.
   
PETER CAMPBELL Board Member
Peter has a background in the fields of both Advertising & Marketing in each of Australia, Asia and Canada. As a corporate executive and CEO of a number of multinational companies in each of Australia, Malaysia and Hong Kong, he was also a well-known member of the American Business Council in Malaysia and the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, before establishing his own consultancy and trading company in Hong Kong in the late 1980s. Peter is now semi-retired and devotes much of his time to the Foundation.
   
MICHAEL CANTALI (BE,MPM,MIE Aust.) President
As a notable Consultant Engineer, Michael has lectured extensively throughout Australasia, Italy and the United States. Some of his projects included paving systems at Darling Harbour and the Homebush Olympic site. He has been involved in the Italian and the wider Australian community work for over three decades, was Commissioner of Ethnic Affairs, a councillor on the Sydney County Council, and an inaugural Board Member of Energy Australia. Today he is still a
councillor of Canada Bay Council, a post he has held for the past 21 years, a Board member of the NSW Parents’ Council, and is President of the Mamma Lena Foundation.
   
ROSE CANTALI (B.A. Dip Teach. M.Ed. MAPS.) Treasurer
As well as being a Board Member of the Foundation, Rose also sits on the Board of the Mamma Lena Child Care Centre- a position she is uniquely qualified for in view of her professional background: Rose is a Child and Adolescent Psychologist, Director of Psychmatter Centre for Mental Health Director on the NSW Board of Studies, member of the State Executive NSW Parent Council and the Australian Psychological Society, Guest lecturer at University of Western Sydney School of Psychology, Ph D candidate at Sydney University, Consultant to ADRA for Getting Connected Project. - Connecting Children & Adolescents to school and a School Counsellor NSW Dept. of Education & Training amongst others.
   
AMELIA CAPOGNA Board Member
Not long after her arrival in Australia, Amelia met Mamma Lena and an instant friendship developed that saw many great ideas and plans emerge. Many of these Amelia helped implement and turn into tangible charitable deeds. Her involvement grew from strength to strength and in 1992 she joined the Mamma Lena Child Care Centre and became a founding member and board member of the Mamma Lena & Dino Gustin Foundation.
   
ROSALBA GUSTIN (B.A.Hons) Secretary and Public Officer
Rosalba, Mamma Lena and Dino Gustin’s daughter, together with the Board of Trustees, ensures that her parent’s legacy of charitable work continues into the future.
A successful business woman, Rosalba worked in Asia for over 20 years, before returning to Australia to care for her ailing parents. Upon their passing, Rosalba embarked on sorting and cataloguing her parent’s enormous collections of papers, photos and letters for inclusion on this website and preservation by the State Library of NSW and various museums to ensure that her parent’s precious memorabilia is safely archived

JOHN ORLANDO Board Member
As well as Vice President & Treasurer- of the Mamma Lena Childcare Centre. John is a well-known and respected member of the local community and a multiple Small Business Award winner (“Outstanding Local Real Estate Agent”) His involvement in local matters includes being a member of the 2007 Fairfield City Council Safety Committee as well as a being member of the Executive committee of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
   
IVANA SMANIOTTO (B.A. Dip.Ed.) Board Member
Ivana’s vast experience in the field of education has seen her become part of many community- and charitable organisations. Professionally she headed up a team of consultants when NSW introduced “foreign” languages in primary schools... organised training for teachers...represented the Ministry of Education... was appointed Principal Education Officer in the Strategic Education Policy Directorate among others. Irvana is also a member of COMITES (Committee for Italians Abroad) and Secretary / Public Officer of the Federazione Veneta in NSW.

ANTHONY ZAPPIA
Born in Sydney, Australia - Educated at St Therese, Mascot - Followed by high school at Christian Bros, Waverley College. He completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of NSW in Political Science and History in 1987 and a Graduate Diploma in Information Management at UNSW in 1991. Since 1991 he has worked as a librarian in various sectors starting with public libraries in several councils, including Kogarah, Leichhardt and Burwood. Between 2001-2007 he was employed by the Department of Defence to work in a team maintaining the Defence Library Service's electronic library services. This was followed by an 18 month contract working as a research librarian in the N.S.W. Parliamentary Library. Anthony currently works in the Australian Taxation office, providing research and electronic library services.
Anthony’s interests and past-times include : reading, music, the cinema, walking, visiting friends and travel. In addition Anthony has a strong interest in complementary health and medicine and is currently growing a small business in essential oils
   

ROSE COLOMBO
“Rose is one of the volunteers of the ‘Movimento’ team. In 2010 she took on the responsibility of broadcaster by producing and hosting the Italian Youth radio program on Radio 2000 on 98.5FM broadcasting on Saturday nights from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.  Rose became involved in radio in 2000, undertaking basic roles in administration and certain aspects of event organization.  This was the ground work that would lead her to becoming the lead broadcaster in 2010.  This program is proudly sponsored by the Mamma Lena & Dino Gustin Foundation. Outside of the radio Rose is recognized for her work in the international trade industry and is a professional industry trainer. As teaching is her passion, she has extended this into other areas including volunteer teaching in a local Primary School.”
