| JOHNNY O'KEEFE is
one of the all-time greats of the Australian music scene. He has been
singing, rocking and swinging to the Australian public for over 20 years
and his popularity is as great as ever. This record includes four
O'Keefe greats—"Move, Baby, Move", "You'll Never Cherish A Love So
True", "Ooh Poo Pah Do" and "Rock 'n' Roll Will Stand". COL JOYE is another of the greats of the Australian music scene. He has been on the music scene for 21 years and like Johnny O'Keefe, has been wowing the public with great recordings, live shows and innumerable TV appearances. Three of Col's rock greats are on this album—"Rock Around The Clock", "Be Bop A Lula" and "Stagger Lee". NORMIE ROWE was Australia's "King of Pop" for many years and wherever he appeared, wild scenes of screaming, yelling fans always kept the police force busy. His term of National Service Duty in Vietnam took him away from all this and a new Normie Rowe, much quieter and a family man is now going strong on the Club circuit. Normie's great song "Glory Road" is his contribution to Rock, Rock, Rock, Volume 2. DELLTONES. Even though the group has now disbanded, the Delltones are still remembered through their many albums, which are still best sellers, as one of Australia's greatest male vocal groups. They can rock, swing and sing the ballads with ease. Here we have their version of "Come A Little Bit Closer". LONNIE LEE is another artist who has been a star on the Australian Pop scene for many years. Lonnie sings two of his earlier successes—"Defenceless" and "Starlight, Starbright" on this record. JOHNNY YOUNG started his career in Perth as a TV Compere but soon became a nationwide star through his great record "Cara-Lyn" which appears on this album. Johnny now concentrates on his songwriting and his great TV Show Family—"Young Talent Time". |
