For the true enthusiasts of the Italian song Carlo Buti is a legend.
Born in Florence in 1900, a goldsmith by profession, he began singing for his friends dedicating serenades. and .Stornellate.* to the pretty girls of Florence.
It was the impresario for stage shows in the Apollo Theater in Florence who convinced Carlo Buti that he should sing; the impresario enganged Carlo after hearing him sing at one of those gatherings of friends. He had enormous success but not enough to make him give up his original profession. Approximately two years later another theatrical organization gave him the opportunity of dedicating himself completely to music and engaged him for a tour of Italy. They made other tours and finally he became convinced that he should pursue a singing career. This path carried him to the peaks of popularity.Columbia Recording Company asked him to sign the contract which gave him the possibility of recording almost 500 songs during his long career.
His success crossed the Atlantic and the name of Carlo Buti appeared onboards of the biggest theaters in Broadway and Buenos Aires, bringing the Italian song to the numerous emigrants of those countries. , Carlo Buti made approximately ten tours in the Americas and those emigrants still remember him quite vividly as his records are even now in great demand.

Per gli appassionati del canto all'italiana Carlo Buti rappresenta un mito.
Nato a Firenze nel 1900, orafo di professione, iniziò a cantare per gli amici portando serenate e stornellate che dedicava alle belle fiorentine. A convincere Buti a dedicarsi professionalmente al canto fu l'impresario del teatro Apollo di Firenze il quale, dopo averlo ascoltato durante una di quelle feste tra amici, lo scritturò. Il successo fu enorme ma non fu sufficiente perché abbandonasse la sua professione. Trascorsero circa due anni e fu ancora un'organizzazione teatrale ad offrirgli l'opportunità di dedicarsi completamente alla musica, scritturandolo per una tournée in Italia. Seguirono altre tournées e finalmente la convinzione che quella del cantante era la sua strada. La strada che lo portò direttamente verso la popolarità.
La casa discografica Columbia gli fece firmare il contratto che gli diede la possibilità di incidere nell'arco della sua lunga carriera quasi 500 canzoni. Il suo successo varcò l'oceano e il nome di Carlo Buti apparve sui cartelloni dei maggiori teatri di Broadway e di Buenos Aires, portando la musica italiana ai numerosi emigrati di quei paesi.
Le tournées americane di Carlo Buti si contarono a decine e il ricordo presso quegli emigrati è ancora vivo perché i suoi dischi sono tuttora richiestissimi.

D'autres tournées suivirent, et finalement Carlo Buti eUt la convinction que la chanson était vraiment sa voie. Une voie qui le conduisit directement à la popularité.
La Maison de disques Columbia lui fit signer un contrat qui lui donna la possibilité d'enregistrer, au cours de sa longue carriere, près de 500 chansons. Son succès franchit l'océan, et le nom de Carlo Buti apparut Sur les affiches des principaux théàtres de Broadway et de Buenos Aires, apportant la musique italienne aux nombreux immigrés de ces pays.
Les tournées de Carlo Buti en Amérique se comptèrent par dizaines, et son souvenir auprès des immigrés italiens de ce continent est encore tits vif, car ses disques sont toujours très demandés.
